The Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) participated in the Thailand Semiconductor Roadmap Co-Design Workshop, held on 6 January 2026 at Pullman King Power Bangkok. The national strategic forum was jointly organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with the Board of Investment (BOI) and key public and private sector partners.

The workshop was designed as a collaborative, action-oriented platform to support the development of Thailand’s semiconductor strategy. The program began with national policy briefings and global industry perspectives, including insights from international organizations such as the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and Arizona State University (ASU). These sessions provided participants with an overview of global semiconductor trends, investment dynamics, and strategic approaches adopted by leading economies.

Following the plenary sessions, participants joined six focused breakout discussions addressing key pillars of the semiconductor ecosystem: Financial Support, Talent Development, Business Facilitation, Regulatory and Policy Reform, Infrastructure Development, and Innovation and Technology Promotion. The discussions brought together representatives from government agencies, industry associations, companies, and academic institutions to exchange perspectives and propose practical recommendations.

On this platform, Mr. Phutana Daoruang, General Manager of THPCA, contributed to the subgroup discussion on Regulatory and Policy Reform. During the session, he shared industry-based perspectives on policy alignment, regulatory efficiency, and structural improvements that could support the long-term development of Thailand’s semiconductor and electronics sectors.

The workshop created an important space for dialogue among stakeholders to collectively identify challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions aligned with global semiconductor developments and Thailand’s national priorities. The insights gathered from these discussions will be consolidated as key inputs for the Thailand Semiconductor Roadmap, which aims to guide future policy actions, investment promotion measures, workforce development initiatives, and ecosystem strengthening.

THPCA’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting constructive policy dialogue and contributing industry perspectives to national initiatives that advance Thailand’s position in the regional and global semiconductor value chain.
