On 20 May 2026, representatives from the Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) visited Kumwell and were warmly welcomed by Dr. Werachet Khanngern, Chief Innovation Officer. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for both organizations to exchange perspectives on emerging technology trends, innovation development, and future collaboration opportunities within Thailand’s advanced electronics ecosystem.

During the visit, the THPCA delegation participated in a live demonstration of the Semiconductor Fabrication VR Platform at the Mekhala Room. The innovative platform showcased how immersive technologies can be utilized to support semiconductor education, workforce development, and technical training, helping prepare the next generation of talent for increasingly sophisticated manufacturing environments.

The discussion highlighted the growing importance of the semiconductor, PCB, and advanced electronics industries as strategic foundations for high-value technologies that are shaping the future economy. These industries play a critical role in enabling innovations across AI infrastructure, electric vehicles (EVs), industrial automation systems, telecommunications, smart devices, and other advanced digital applications.

Particular attention was given to the role of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), which remain the backbone of modern electronic systems. As the essential platform that enables electrical connectivity and system functionality, PCBs support a broad spectrum of applications ranging from industrial control systems and communication equipment to highly complex technologies that demand exceptional precision, performance, and reliability.

Both organizations also discussed opportunities to collaborate on workforce development initiatives aimed at strengthening Thailand’s pool of highly skilled talent. Potential areas of cooperation include technical training programs, industry-academia engagement, and knowledge-sharing activities designed to equip engineers and professionals with the competencies required by the rapidly evolving semiconductor and electronics sectors.

As global demand for advanced electronics continues to accelerate, developing a highly capable workforce and fostering stronger industry collaboration will be critical to maintaining Thailand’s competitiveness and supporting long-term industry growth. THPCA highly appreciates Kumwell’s commitment to innovation, technology development, and knowledge sharing. The association believes that continued collaboration between industry stakeholders will play an important role in enhancing Thailand’s technological capabilities, supporting the growth of strategic industries, and strengthening the country’s position as a future regional hub for advanced technology and innovation.
